Default Bearing material in oil????

Hi everyone,
Thought I should tell you about a little problem I'm working through.

I did an oil change on the weekend, and found the following in the oil:

Doesn't look like bearing material though.

Fortunately we have a Niton Xray Fluorescence PMI gun at work that can do a chemical analysis on particles of this size:

So it looks as though it is 99.8% pure aluminium foil - probably from the foil cap of an oil change some time in the past!

(the oil I have been using for the last 7 years doesn't have a foil cap)

Any other thoughts?

Cheers,
Mike
