Tial wastegate and boost solenoid
Hi there,
I have a tial 38mm wastegate hooked up dual port mode as per Lindsey racing instructions and everything's working fine. I installed a water meth injection kit and also installed a boost failsafe control solenoid. The idea behind the solenoid is to cause a leak to the wastegate if the water meth runs out. When the solenoid is triggered the vacuum line from the intake manifold to the wastegate is open causing vacuum/boost to be atmosphere. Now my question is do I have this set up properly because I know Porsche does things a little differently? What happens when you disconnect the vacuum line to the wastegate? Will the car overboost or have no boost?

Disconnecting the side port should cause over boost. Disconnecting the top port should reduce boost, you won't get less than the rated spring pressure of the gate. I'm not exactly sure what you would end up with, not seeing a diagram of the way you hooked it all up.
