I have a 86 944 Turbo and I hear a slight intermittent thump from the center of the car when accelerating from a stop, usually I can make it happen more often when I take off slow and easy….. just one slight thump. I was thinking it might be a transmission mount possibly.

Any help, tips, or feed back would be greatly appreciated.
