Default Glove Box Stop Repair

Hello, I'm having trouble with what seemed to be a straight forward job. I installed my metal stops on my glove box door, but now I can't figure out what it's supposed to stop against inside my dash. I have a hole on each side of my glove box insert, but can't find anything in there for it to catch on. I have the style of glove box that doesn't have the slots in the glove box insert. My stops have been broken for over a decade, so I'm not sure what all should be in there. Any ideas?

No idea off the top of my head I'll see if I can find a solution for you. If the stops in the dash are gone and it still hangs after the new pieces installed you may need a more intense repair. Also what color is your car? Any more pics?

Can you post some close-up pics? I did this job, maybe I can help.

I did this repair. I'll take a picture for you in the morning.

Thanks NoRush, Here is a picture of mine. It appears that there is a hole for a screw or clip on both sides, so I must be missing a part... If I saw a pic of what should be in there, that would be really helpful.

Thanks,
Casey

Here is a pic of mine.
There is no strength at all in the way it is located on the metal edge, barely resting, but I assume no-one had hacked away the original rest point. I don't use it to support anything so not an issue for me.

Thanks, that did the trick. Turns out I wasn't missing anything and now have a functioning glove box door for the first time in over a decade!
