/NA 944 with 951 engine
Hello
I am Tarmo . I have had a P'944 since 2008 . It is a 1986 year but '87 model . It came out from the factory 11 days after me So a nice coincidence .
At first I didn't too any mods to it . But if I remember correctly , during hard driving I did brake my gearbox . Then I needed to buy a replacement . I found a great deal to a 951 gearbox. Not the best suit for a 120kW engine Then I did but bigger wheels (9.5'' & 10''x18) and that meant I need bigger brakes (and not long after that stronger engine)
After that all started rolling . Little mods like 30mm front sabilizer bar and 19mm rear, GURU chip , manual boost controller , stainless steel Ø 3'' exhaust, 3" downpipe ,TIAL wastegate 38mm, oil catch tank , #274 GRIND WEB-CAM , Green Performance Cone filter .
But this car now has much bigger build in closing stages .
So maybe I can find time to show and describe it here . At least its the goal .
Here are some links of the old car .
Can be that in this video we don't have chips , raised boost . Only camshaft , exhaust , wastegate and cone filter .
Here are some pics

Looking nice Tarmo! Are you going to install a dry sleeved block in your car next. Or did it already have a sleeved block in the past? Custom pistons also? What displacement are you going with?

Hi
New engine is ready now and not in my car yet . And yes dry sleeved block. We did stay with 2,5L and custom JE Pistons , Rarst forged rods and all new stronger bolts and things . GarrettGTX3076R+KKK hot housing +restrictor

Winter I did like to drive with it in winter . Very good control or was it the tyres ?
Just 3x944
I got lucky with this really old nail (~6 inch long). It went only inside the tread
I did develop Skid Tyre's in Finland some time ago .
Here you can see early models what actually worked
