Towards the final stages of the build... It still looks nice from far and far from nice but i think we are getting there. There are still lots of little nitty gritty items that need sorting but i guess we can now address them on an individual basis. (busted side mirror / rear wiper motors, loose interior trim, power steering pump, noisy fan belt...etc etc)

If all goes well, i should be able to have it on the road next week and will continue sorting it out, but at least the major stuff looks to be done.

So yesterday, i finally got the car tested for road-worthiness and it went through inspections without a hitch!

After driving for 5 mins, it started to develop a misfire and i limped it back to the workshop. Reduced the fueling slightly and now seems to be slightly better, will drive it for another week before sending it back to the shop. Was also spewing quite a lot of white smoke when driving

The WORST part now? 2nd gear keeps popping out.... sigh.... this sucks....

BUT it was also the first time i've looked at the car under sunlight. Looks pretty good from afar.

There is still quite a lot more to do, just sent it in to the aircon shop to have the ac compressor adjusted, it was making a lot of squealing noises. Thereafter, i need to get the paint touched up slightly and after that, the interior needs work followed by the glass needing alot of cleaning up after the previous owner's dodgy tinting films.

Default Driving feels

Question for the 951 guys. My other car is a E34 M5, that one I really enjoy driving and have gotten used to its nice 3.8 lump happily rumbling along at low revs and it's ability to scream up to 7-7.5k when called upon.

This 951 is my first time driving a Turbo car. It feels somewhat lifeless and totally gutless before the turbo spools up. Is that normal? Also after being accustomed to matching my m5's engine sound to its corresponding speed, the 951 feels rather quiet in comparison. I'm wondering if my speedo is off cos it doesn't feel as fast as the readout says. Speedo says it's going 60mph and the cars around me seem to be going at roughly the right pace bukit feels slower inside.

All in all, feels really really different from an NA lump.
