I like the yellow on yours...but my favourite colour on 944's would have to be black or gunmetal.

I think once she's had a wash you will start to like it. I got used to my colour as well, originally I didn't want a white car at all, but now I quite like it. Although, if I did have the option to go for a full respray I would definitely change to black or gunmetal.

Agreed. Those rims will look MUCH better when the alu is treated. Even a basic polish will help a lot but make sure you get the correct polish that won't harm the alu any further.

As for the Yellow paint, I think it's great and will come up a treat similar to the wheels once you've had it detailed. That Yellow is very rare.

Not so great news, car is currently getting taken apart. my mechanic sent me these pics along with the note "I got another list of parts for you"

Sigh...... hope this isn't going to break the bank THAT quickly....

I will be popping by in the next few days to take a closer look at the car and the second "list of parts"

On a lighter note, my new Bilstein shocks should be arriving either this or next week.

Oh yes, i also managed to find the original color of the car, it's not yellow. Original color was Guards Red, but the yellow looks pretty well painted.

as for the placement of a PLX gauge i'm thinking of getting, this looks interesting: http://www.mossmiata.com/Shop/ViewPr...eIndexID=78104
fits into the single DIN space, but retains a mini cubby hole

Also on a side note, i won a local lucky draw for a set of tyres, gonna sell them on for some extra funds. (Since i only JUST fitted new tyres to the 944 and the other 2 days in the household just a month ago... sigh)

Took a look last nite.... car is still in pieces

Anyone know what this bit below is called?

and rotting as well

Stuff that got removed, i'm guessing the intercooler is a Lindsey Racing Stage V because it can only fit with the Stage V front panel. Anyone wants it? (The intercooler)

New shocks should be coming in by next week and currently awaiting more stuff from Lart's

Will need to buy many more parts again... brake booster/pump, clutch pump, pipes, expansion tank...... This is getting $cary

Some updates, engine has been removed, car has been mostly stripped down (mechanically at least) and i just made and paid for a 2nd list of parts from my mechanic. So far for parts alone, i'm down close to $9k USD. Hopefully this 2nd list is pretty much it for the parts buying... hopefully...

To add to the bad news, the Bilsteins i ordered cannot be fitted without extensive modifications to the front shock housing. The hacksaw method does not exactly work and will require some custom fabrication of parts to get them to fit...

This 951 is killing me...

Some of the stuff i'm lookin at now....

*Look at that water pump!*

Small update; in addition to yet more parts (a much much smaller order thankfully), dashboard wrap has been done. Automotive grade vinyl (pvc), i think i the local shop that did it gave a pretty good price for the work. The initial quote was around USD670, ended up paying USD520. (labour's expensive here ) Can't wait to see it back in the car. I might send my seats in for a leather reupholstering too.

Don't give up, keep going!
Your dash looks great but the shop forgot to trim around your defroster vents!!!
