993C2 Brake Caliper Upgrade
Upon searching the forums I found the 928 guys using the 993c2 brakes as an upgrade. These brake calipers are almost the same (slightly later casting and hose connection is towards bottom of caliper not top) as the s4 brakes / m030 but easier to find and are guaranteed to be the latest seal type which are cheaply rebuild able. The risk with buying s4 brakes or early m030 is that some have the earlier scraper ring which are uber expensive to rebuild.
I picked up the 993 calipers for $400 so pretty good value really. The only modifications needed to make these work is to swap the crossover and bleed nipples around so the bleeders are on the top when they are installed in the trailing position instead of leading as per the 993. Calipers are mounted using the m030/big black / big red caliper adapters (same adapter for all of these calipers) - Racer's Edge in this case.
They use the same m030 / 928S4 brake rotors.
Anyway, here's a pic.

I've done the same thing. Caliper castings are actually identical to the late 90 - 91 951S calipers Just need to swap balance pipe and nipples. I actually have a brake adapter that allows me to run the OEM cross drilled 993 discs which give the same offset (clearance form steering knuckle) disc offset as the M030 spindles whilst using the non M030 spindles and hub.
