Another Bilstein option similar to the Koni "hacksaw" inserts are the B6-HD "R30-...." or "R36-..." inserts for 2nd-gen 1986-1991 RX-7s. These have a bottom attachment stud so no converting the tops of the struts for gland-nuts needed. Drill hole in bottom of strut-housing for the stud, tighten nut on outside, hammer in top-seal and you're done!!!!

Dimensions for the 3000gt insert are out there on the web if you google it. Not sure of the beetle insert dimensions, would be good to know. I'll see if I can dig out the dimensions of the Firehawk strut as that might be a good target.

Are Bilstein HD inserts straight plug and play for '83 NA with rebuildable struts?
