Default WTB: '87 944 Turbo Catback

I have no idea why, but my last thread was deleted... So, I will try again. Maybe I broke a forum rule or something.

Someone stole my exhaust (cat back portion) from my car (1987 Porsche 944 Turbo). They did it while I was away from home (probably while I was at work). So, I am in need of a used exhaust from the catalytic converter back (aka catback). I don't want to spend a fortune.

In case anyone has one locally, or would like to return my stolen exhaust (I doubt that), I am in San Antonio, TX.

Thanks,
Suede

That's a weird thing to steal...

At any rate, I have a LR 3" exhaust I may be willing to part with in the next month or so.

You must be a member to WTB. Sorry to hear about your exhaust.

I was a member. I must have let it lapse. I will renew it now.

Thanks,

Ok, membership taken care of. If anyone has an exhaust they're willing to part with for a reasonable price, let me know. I don't need anything fancy now, just enough to get by. A stock 951 exhaust would be enough for now.

Thanks,
Suede

Same thing happened to my catback section of my lindsey 3" ceramic coated exhaust...still haven't replaced it. Interesting to know that stuff off these cars are in high demand.

They probably scrap it for crack money....

I have a full stock exhaust that was pulled off my car when I installed my Fabspeed. I would let it go for cheap as it is sitting around and I have no plans to reinstall it.

Yeah. I just assume some people are douchebags and need their crack money. Anyway. I looked a little closer the other day and noticed I am missing some lug nuts off one of the back wheels. Thank god for the wheel locks, or it probably would have just been on blocks.

I've been checking craigslist every now and then too. They probably sold it to one of the local exhaust shops... Oh well.

I am just waiting to hear back on a couple PMs on the exhausts, and hopefully I'll be in business.

Thanks Again,
Suede

Suedeworthey,

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that someone stole your exhaust. I've heard of people stealing wheels but never an exhaust. If you're looking for a Muffler, our 944T Maxflo Exhaust adds a throatier and deeper tone to your exhaust.

Our Maxflo Exhaust increases horsepower and torque by 26 whp and 29 ft-lbs while saving 20 lbs from your factory muffler system. It is constructed from high quality 14-16ga CNC mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel for maximum performance and durability and provides a noticeable improvement in sports car sound and throttle response. Our Maxflo Exhaust is a direct replacement for the OEM muffler with no cutting or welding required.

Here's a video clip for an idea of what it'll sound like.

Let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to PM me or email me for any further information.

We had a used car lot get hit one night next to my shop in Omaha. All the trucks had the converters cut off with a saws-all. Sucks for them, was great for my shop!

Battery operated reciprocal saws are small and convenient. Can probably get a cat out in less than a minute. Happened to me on my honda. Expensive repair ($800 +) for about $50 bucks worth or scrap Pt. But for the thief totally worth it. Easier than a mugging, not likely to run into any resistance.
