Default Track Car for Sale

Gauging interest in the Track Car for sale. Jim and I discussed and today we agreed...after the fire, we built an engine for the car with a cross drilled crank. We had oil pressure issue at idle - hmmmm. After letting the car sit for some time, I changed all you could without pulling the engine, still low oil pressure at idle. F**k it, dyno'd the car, 363/358 on a bad tune, laptop took a $hit.

Car sat for 4 years.. yeah I know. So, I pull the motor and find out that the machine shop cross drilled the rod journals AND THE MAINS. So I pull everything apart, install our spare crankshaft, of course all new bearings again, reseal the short block, new RMS, BS delete, remember the lightweight pulleys that were custom made, yes full set with adjustable cam gear. Put it all back together, started first try dry as a bone.
so....if you click the JAB Racing link in the signature, takes you to almost all the history of the car.

1987 944 Turbo, dedicated track car. New motor and clutch. DME and KLR gone through by ECU Dr. Engine machining from Duffin Engine in San Antonio, Alusil specialist. 101 Mahle pistons with Ferroprint Iron coating, clearance was set at .0012". Crank micro polished before install, crank scrapper, baffled oil pan. All new seals, BS delete with reinforced pickup and drain tube. Twin oil coolers installed, Porsche antifreeze on new radiator. New 6 puck un-sprung bronze clutch and Cup pressure plate. LR Stage II O-ringed head and intercooler, MLS head gasket, Custom IC pipes, 55# injector, Custom Vitesse Chip in DME, Stage III MAF, Mafterburner in glove box and an IBM laptop with the car too; LR DP Wastegate. All exhaust manifolds and cross over thermal wrapped. 4" exhaust, wastegate has it's own pipe. LR 5 header panel

1989 LSD Trans

Suspension: Charlie Arms ( On the Car), Full Koni coilovers 900/600 springs all from Paragon, R/E bushings, Kelly Moss Camber plates, 968 sway bars. Ducted brake cooling to 3.6 rotors with Big Blacks.

Two sets of Kinesis K27 wheels, 9 and 10" x 17 respectively, one set with RA1 other with Yoko 008 I think, they are in the trailer.

Twin Sparco Seats, 5 pt harness, roll bar, quick release steering wheel, extra boost, water temp and oil temp gauges. SPA turbo inlet temp gauge. Car is on VR1, it was started on 30 wt for 10 minutes, shut down changed oil and filter then ran on jackstands for about 3 hours - shifting through the gears. Changed to VR1 and I took it out on some country roads around the lake, it's sitting at 10 psi and ready for dyno.

If you search the old thread Oil Exhaust and Fire started by Ski, you can see the damage to the engine, then after a long absence the new engine, build pictures, and install. I'll try to upload the first start video if I can.

2 needs: hook up oil temp sensor and extend WBO2 wiring to new sensor location. price: $15,000 with the TRAILER if you want, 4 new tires last year, Elec brakes, whatever spares are in the trailer to inlcude ALL PORSCHE tools, 9201 and all timing wrenches, proper suspension wrenches, 32 and 36 thin wrenches, etc. Trailer has cabinets and shelves in the front, drill press, rack for tires, Jacks, tool box and parts - exhaust manifold, distributor, wires, plugs, starter, spare intake which is thermal coated. Jim has agreed, so this is for sale.
Trailer 22' Econolite, 1 full back door, side door with step and red and blue graphics. It has a side canopy but it has not been rolled out in 4 years. Diamond plate door and flat aluminum floor. Cabinets in the front and side shelves. Peg board wall up front and overhead lights can be plugged in. 4 new tires last year, new bearings and seals this year.

That's a hell of a deal! Did you always run without Balance shafts? Impressions of this?

No but in discussing with several who do, since on the track the RPMs are almost always up and down, you're never at constant rpm (like highway) for long enough to risk "harmonic" damage. I can tell you that the idle was baby but smooth, I couldn't tell any difference in the short time of messing with the new engine.

Clarify "Needs":
I just didn't finish the oil temp sensor or the WBO2 extension wiring because of getting the Sea Doo in the garage, selling my wife's Mustang and getting my sons "new to him" bimmer 328 in the garage - needed the space. Car is in the trailer.

New price, one stop shop and go to the track with car and trailer.

The Mafterburner program should be very close, I think the bad tune was from something in the KLR or DME but those are both brand new and the car started the first time like it never had before, almost instant without turning over 4-5 times as normal.

Vimeo video, had to remember my password and I found another video I uploaded. The car spent 2 years in the trailer, then 2 years in my garage. I go out and start the car every couple of months.

Got any pics of that kidney?.....just kidding man!

Good friend of mine just shipped a US 930 to Denmark. Cost him $1500 which I didn't think was to bad.
