Seriously?

We're trying to get to the bottom an an issue.. We don't need no retarded engine swaps. It's a DD not a damn race car. These are 20-30k cars here not 5k cars..

Take a reading of the MAF signal at the DME.

Take a reading of the map sensor at the DME.

Check to make sure your alternator cables are not wrapped around any wiring.

You can get a good read on whether the HG is going if you take the cap off the reservoir and rev it when it's cold. If it starts pushing coolant out, the HG is going. I don't think that's the issue.

Report back.

A compression test doesn't always tell the story on hg.

Tap the passenger floor when it starts to stall out and act up, suspect broken solder joints on the DME, once it warms up joints expand and give you a bad connection.

Ok I have worked out the bov is opening way too early. Have been playing with eboost but am starting to think my Tial is knock off or was damaged when put on backwards.
Will bypass eboost to test Tial and see what happens.
Thanks for everybody's input.

On the drive to work and way home could hear a more noticable leak so maybe Tial has just become loose.

Edit: Had a look and can see it is leaking. Waiting for it to cool down and I'll see if I can nip it up

Nope, cannot be done on the car. It is one of the bolts that holds the Tial WG to the adaptor plates and the only way to tighten it is to remove the whole unit and do it off the car Not a job to start in the dark, on ramps.

Pretty much the main reason why i turned my adapters into flanges. And another reason to go to TurboSmart wastegates with the Vband flanges next time my exhaust comes off.

I can see why thats a good option Pauly. I will see if I can one of the mechanics at work to take it off and fix it properly. Will have to wind down eboost settings and go through set up again but will be cool to have everything working properly and fnally see what my M tune and my other mods have done

BTW Found out PO had fitted a full 3" custom exhaust system to the car, not just cat back

When I got cat replaced they rang me to say wasn't 2.5" and needed 3". Pipe at back of turbo to WG might even be 3.5"?

You'd know if it's a 3.5" because they would have told you 3.5" instead of 3"

that's good to know i guess!

Pauly the rest is but I'm talking about just the pipe from turbo to WG. Don't think the exhaust guys would be even looking up there. Rest of system is 3". They just cut out and replaced old cat

3.5 would be a very tight fit. I've never heard of a 3.5 downpipe.
