Default Oil pressure sender connectors

Hey my oil pressure sender is leaking a little so I decided to order a new one, I went the OEM way to be sure, I purschase the VDO sender, but I just noticed my current one uses lug type connectors, the VDO looks like this

Where can I find the right connectors for this ? Will I even be able to replace the connector, it looks like it's a tight fit in there.

Are the 8 & 7 mm stud connections factory? that is how mine are, it is the original sender to my knowledge. I just have ring terminals on them.

I didnt receive the sender yet, but what I see on the pictures is that VDO uses female terminals and the other uses male terminals

if I recall correctly the VDO sender has two male posts on the back and what we are seeing in your photo is two nuts with plastic housings screwed onto the male studs allowing for both male and female connections. Should work fine and yes it's a tight fit, you'll need a 'shorty' wrench.

I just replaced my sealing washer the other day. Leak stopped. Do the senders themselves ever leak on their own?

I just did this job and my VDO sending unit was not set up like that, mine had spade terminals as on a speaker.

You can also use a 24mm crow's foot.

I'll wait to see it in real, maybe it's a generic picture... Maybe I should just replace the sealing washer..

That picture is correct. They come with plastic nuts that have a brass insert in them.

I ordered two so I would not have to order it again. Here is my spare, and upon further inspection the male spades are attached with a nut so yours looks similar.

Our cars came in two styles, both have the same posts. The difference is in the wiring from the car. Some cars have the spade connector and some just use the round female connectors, thats why FAE replacements usually come with the adapter posts to use the spade connections(as shown in URG8RB8's photos), which can be removed for the round connections. I dont beleave that a true VDO brand replacement comes with the adapters as you old one should have it if you need it. You can also simply get some new round connectors from any auto parts store if you dont have the adapters and have spade connections.

Alright thank you !

BTW I've read somewhere that FAE wasnt the best choice, it can cause bad reading or bouncing needle...

Though it may be unfair to FAE, when i first went to replace my oil pressure sender i chose a FAE replacement and it starting working fine during the first warm up for about 10 minutes then out of left field it randomly pegged again, and the sender failed after only one use. I then bought a VDO sender and its worked fine ever since. I recommend spending the extra money on the VDO for the quality, especially when changing them isnt in a fun place for wrenches.
