I tried it several ways but still couldn't get it to connect or even see the logger was attached. I hooked up the Ostrich 2.0 though and it saw it right off. I'm not sure what else is left to try.

Did you load the drivers I posted? Also, in Tuner Pro, check "Tools/Preferences/Data Acq. Emulation/Configure Plug-In Component" and check the Com Port.

Yep, did both of those things on two different laptops. Wish there was another Colorado owner who had one so I could check my laptop and unit against theirs and nail down there the problem is.

I did want to follow up by saying I got the logger working by using Windows 7. I tried two Win 10 machines with no luck, but it worked on two different Win 7 machines. So, if you want a logger, get an older machine to use it with.

I guess all of mine suck then! Well, it still might help someone like me who spent a couple months trying to make it work on Windows 10 and had it work instantly on older operating systems. I just about threw it away.

I've got the logger and have used it with both Joshua's old setup and his new LR setup on XP, Win7 and Win10 machines. My only issue is data dropouts, even on my new i7 laptop with 16 Gb memory and dedicated graphics card w/4Gb memory. Joshua's new chipboard/software runs better than it ever has. Hoping to find some time over the next couple months to get into the tuner. Long-term I'm planning on doing a 2.85 hybrid stroker build so will need the tuner to set up well enough to pass CA smog...

Brings up a question - I'm thinking a dedicated stand-alone PC for this (well, and in the shop area).

Anyone have this arrangement? If so, what are you using and/or would recommend?

I just bought one and I love it. Old Dell 630 latitude, 4GB ram 128 GB SSD, all the ports built in, nice screen running XP nothing but Tuning software installed. Very fast zero issues. $100 shipped on EBay

Is anyone aware of a way to use a Raspberry Pi to record the data logger stream? I have the LR (Rogue) M-Tune with logger.

Hi Guys, sorry for bringing up an old thread, but I have a quick question....
I have a supercharged 944, using an 87NA engine, running e85. I am running the 87 DME with 28pin upgrade, using 57lb injectors, and tuning with an Ostrich 2.0 .
My question is this, will the DME Logger work with the Ostrich 2.0 running Tunerpro RT? this thread and LR makes it sound like it only work with their Rogue tuning version.
thanks

@victor25 , see my post, https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turb...ta-logger.html
looks like the tuner works with either setup. I will be purchasing a new one soon.

Ordered the LR DME logger.
It took a while to get working, had to try a few versions of Tunerpro, but I have logger up and running on Tunerpro RT version 5.00.8202 with the ostrich 2.0.

Problem is, I have an NA engine and computer. LR says the logger is for the M-tune and the NA-tune, but they only have definition files for the M-tune.
Tried the Rogue DME logger files, but they wont communicate with the LR logger.
Any ideas?

Who is the super user on this now? I am starting to feel like i've tried everything to get the logger working. Windows 7, matched the com port in device manager to the setting in tuner pro. I have force wiped out the drivers and started over with the suggested drivers on FTDI website. I have downloaded the older version of tuner pro from 2013 that was referenced above. The PC can see the device, and tuner pro seems to know it's there because it will at least try to connect, but never succeed. I tried to download a program to read raw serial information, but I couldn't get anything to view when the car is running. I have a plastic tube M-tune that is running the custom rogue DME, and that DME has been upgraded to work with the Lindsey racing XDF files, if that matters. I also installed the older 40 pin chip and the older m tune files and that didn't seem to breathe any life into the logger. I've been messing with this for about a week, and ready to throw it all in the trash. I think my next step is to try a different PC. Mine definitely has some archaic norton program that seems to be very intrusive and constantly ask for admin privileges to make changes in the COM settings.
