Default Scan of vintage Porsche catalog

Thought you all might enjoy this accessories catalog by Porsche. Can't find a date but it has to be from around 1987...

Nice! I had to chuckle when I saw the Divert-a-Breeze and the fuzzy sheepskin seat covers. wow.

I love the old Porsche catalogs like this. I have never seen one of those "911 hardtops." Those things must pull a mint these days if you can even find one. And the divert-a-breeze looks like it would limit rear visibility to nothing.

I had some sheepskin covers like that for my E36 BMW (came with the car, they were the real deal OEM BMW covers, $$$$), and I loved the hell out of them. The only problem was that they were 20 years old and the elastic parts that hold it to the seat were shot and so you would slide in the seat if you took a turn with any gusto. The car could be over 110 degrees inside or 20 degrees, but the seats were always the right temp.

It would be nice if they listed part numbers for the accessories. You never know whats still kicking around in inventory.

The last page is "C" marked 1988, so its at least that old.

I like the door sill covers on page 5 - did not know they came in black. Also the different radios that were period correct are cool!

I love the "wind deflector"... looks like a trashbag would also do the job!

Good find. From my experience with Porsche accessory catalogs, I'd say this is a 1988, since it shows fitments for the "84 to 88 Carrera...". If if were, for example, a 1987 catalog, this quote would imply information about future product. If it were later, that is, 1989, the fitment would be as we normally know it, 84-89 Carrera, the end of the G models.

That assumes no typos and that the catalog writer/editor fact checked--and those are big assumptions...

I dig the crap out of sheepskin seat covers too - one of my favorite memories from the 80's. The 951 will eventually have a pair...

Great find and thanks for sharing

I picked up a NOS car cover, still in original box off flee bay, and sourced a tyre compressor locally. The car cover is a PCNA item and says on the box, made exclusively for PCNA, so it may not be available from Porsche germany today, but you never know. I got a set of OEM floor mats out of germany via my local Porsche centre. I'd love to get a set of those thresholds. They look awesome

944 roof rack in this catalog does not use attachment screws located in C-pillar. I have factory racks which does use them. So, there where at least two different rack versions available.
