Default PRICE DROP 89 944 Turbo Cup race car - MOBIL 1 replica

For sale is my recently completed 1989 944 Turbo Cup (copy). Turn key race car running G stock in PCA. This car is perfect and has been very well maintained with plenty of bills to prove. I have not listed all replacemet parts however I have folders full totaling over $40k in recent years. Asking: $18,000 FIRM (new lower price after price drop)
• Weighs 2720 with no driver. (2930 with driver and ballast)

New engine build March 08 • 89 block with NEW pistons, rods, bearings etc. Engine installed by Dan Jacobs (Hairy dog garage – know for their race engine builds)
• Engine has 89' oil pan/oil pickup/ and baffled sump
• NEW Turbo just installed
• More new parts in this engine than I can list. Tons of bills available if required
• Extra KISS Oil cooler
• New Lindsey club gate wastegate
• New motor mounts Aug 09
• A/C delete (with alternator drop bracket)
• Cat bypass
• Borla stainless exhaust
• Strut Brace
• Turbo cup chips,
Transmission• Rebuilt transmission March 08 with new synchros etc. Factory LSD installed and oil cooler
Suspension:• Full Coilovers:
• Front: Leda 24 position adjustable valved to match 750lbs 2.25” springs
• Rear: Leda 24 position adjustable valved to match 900lbs 2.25” springs
• Adjustable racers edge Camber plates
• Weltmeister sway bars front and rear
• Racers edge solid bushings
• Fabcar control arms (new pins Aug 09)
• Manual rack installed march 10
Brakes:• Front: Brand new OEM Turbo S (928 S4) calipers March 10
• New Rotors March 10
• PFC 01 Pads, 1 weekend
• SS brake lines all round
• Turbo s rear calipers PFC 97’s pads
Interior:• Rennline aluminum pedals
• Recaro Pro Hans drivers seat and Pole position passenger seat
• Momo race wheel
• Pair 6 pond safequip harnesses April 08
• Drivers side net
• Full Plumber 5kg extinguisher (covers engine, driver and fuel tank)
• Additional 5lb hand held extinguisher
• Fully installed cool suit with temperature control
• carbon center console with battery kill pull and extinguisher pull
• 2 stop watches
Body:
• Full custom TIG welded 1.75 DOM roll cage by Bill Doyle at Cagethis.com. (full build picas on his site) Fully gusseted, and triangulated with roof bars, dash bar, door X. The cage is a thing of beauty!
• gutted door interiors
• Fiberglass hood with Sparco bumper pins
• Fiber glass rear bumper
• Modified front bumper with air dams for oil coolers
• Tow hooks front and rear
• Indicator delete rear quarters
• Fiberglass front race splitter
• Brake Ducts through front bumper to front rotors,
• FULL respray interior and exterior 2 race weekends ago. Looks great
• 968 mirrors
• Sunroof delete
• Full Mobil 1 graphics
Wheels
• CCW Classics 3 piece 18” 8.5F 10R
• New Hoosier (1 heat cycle for last race) R6’s 245/f 285/r


Extras:
• Another spare set of race wheels and rain hoosier 17" 225/f 245/r tires
• Decent spares package inc CV joints, spare caliper, 2 sets mildly used rotors, rear hatch, 2 doors, etc etc

Great looking race car. I doubt it can be duplicated for double the asking price. For a turn key race car, it's a nice deal.

Well I didn't want to remind you of the actual $ spent, sorry.

Building a nice race car is VERY time consuming and VERY expensive. Someone will see the value and will grab it.

I have seen this car in person at the jersey PCA/Grand Am race. It is as nice in person as it is in the pic's. A job well done DanR! What's in your future?

It's a very strong contender in PCA G class. A fantastic car. Good luck, Dan - does that mean the deal on the H car came to fruition?

TBC - looking at a Cayman S at the moment or a 996 H class car but it may also be a Boxster S for F class....... or keep this if there is no interest
