Default GROUP BUY: Engine harness connectors:GB IS CLOSED!

OK Everyone, we all have wondered... "Where can I get a new connector for ..."

Well, I have found a source, that carries a full setup of Bosche connectors, seals, pins, and boots. They also carry a few other interesting bits I have included for the purpose of this buy. (I have a request in to try to get 5 pin male connectors for those MAF users who don't want to cut up their AFM, or engine harness).

I have broken the pricing for this up a bit, First we have individual items, the connectors, boots, pins and such are individually listed, except where noted as "SET". Pay attention to the bits at the bottom of the list, as these are not for everyone, but I figured I would include them, as I know SOME people are using these! Also included is the famed "044" fuel pump. (OF NOTE: THE REFERENCE SENSOR CONNECTORS ON THE SENSOR ITSELF ARE 3M IN THE LIST BELOW)

Circled in the picture below is the OEM Bosche date code, which my source for these was kind enough to break down the coding for me... these are the real deal! FWIW the pump pictured (date code 002) corresponds to FEB 2010.

Next, I broke out individual connector sets, 2F indicates a 2 pin FEMALE PIN connector (Our OEM Bosche injector connection) SET (a set includes the connector, pins, wire seals, and the connector boot). (OF NOTE: THE REFERENCE SENSOR CONNECTORS ON THE SENSOR ITSELF ARE 3M IN THE LIST BELOW)

3M ----- $3.97
4M ----- $7.25

Lastly, I present complete engine bay connector sets, these sets are ALL the Bosche connectors in your engine bay listed for both N/A and Turbo 944 family. These sets are comprised of TPS connector, AFM connector, Injectors, Knock sensor (turbo only), ISV connector, DME Temp sensor connector, Reference sensor connectors (harness side), and N/A air valve (rear of the intake). If you want to add the MALE 3 pin connectors for the reference sensors let me know, and I will bundle it that way for you. I also priced out the 61 female pins needed for the DME and KLR plugs.

John, you have been busy. Am I getting this correctly, $38.91 gets me a engine connector set. Does this include the pins and seals?

Right, how much for all the connectors in the 951 harness (sans the connectors at the DME and KLR I presume), plus the rubber boots, plus seals, plus the pins (with spares since some invariably get screwed up). Appreciate the effort! Sign me up.

Yup, $38.91 + $15 S&H complete engine bay connector SET, complete with Pins, connectors, wire seals, and boots, Delivered to your door. Sorry, but I AM working on DME and KLR connectors, don't have them tracked down just yet.

I will even throw in a few spare pins for each set... Add another $13.20 and you can get enough pins to completely repin the DME and KLR connectors in your car now... imagine all new harnesses!

I need the connectors as I am going stand alone, and am building my own harness, all brand new... figured as the pricing was good for the pieces I would offer it up to everyone out there with cracked TPS boots / connectors as well!

I have used some of these, but the catalog recently got updated... and expanded!

2 pin males are above at $3.69 a set, or $1.66 for just the connector... LED works great for this (12V,it will flicker)... could even wire 4 of them up to a panel to look at in the driver seat during cranking!

Hmmm, new diagnostic tool.....

I will PM you about a repair "kit"

So, all I'd need is 61 different colored wires : and to reuse the KLR and DME pins and I'd have everything I need to make a new engine harness? For ~$68 shipped.
Wow, the pin tool costs almost as much!

Well..another $13 and some change and you can have new DME and KLR pins... and I am working on sourcing the wires, my only problem is my EMS is coming with different wire colors than the OEM Porsche colors... I will update the GB if I come up with a wire solution....

the different colors is for ease of assembly and repair at the end of the day, you COULD use just one color, but it becomes tricky keep them all straight!

John better yet, why don't you make a couple of new harnesses, and sell them to rennlist menbers at a profit. For example it costs 100 in parts, you sell it at 300.

I'll be in for two 951 complete sets, the pin extraction tool, and at least one set of DME/KLR pins. I'm waiting on my neighbor to let me know if he wants a DME/KLR pin set also ... should have payment sent tonight.

I might be interested in wires and the male connector for the AFM to MAF harness ... if these items work out.
