I had a sense there was a growing list of oversized turbo motors out there, but did not realize just how many are in our midst. It would be good to do a real registry -- any good examples out there? I'd also be curious who built everyone's motors? Anyone assemble their own?

944 S2 (M44/41) is labeled "vibration damper
What is part name of this vibration damper, could start hunting this part for engine buildup?
(Could be useful with Single mass flywheel?)

Looks like there are lots of new builds going on. How many have been running them a while? Mine was built in 2000 and has about 200 track days on it (with a couple ring and bearing jobs in between).

Good to see a "simple" setup living through that beating.

Duke,
I only run about 16 PSI. Local chassis dyno says 330 HP/380 TQ. I run an MBC so it's not super accurate to control, but another pound or so made 350/400. I don't do that on track because I just run pump 93.

Three Wheelin'
Tone my car is still for sale and you guys should know that it will be in a featured article in Excellence magazine Febuary 09. Its a very rewarding thing for this to happen as I worked so hard and spent so much time getting this car as accurate as possible! Minus the sunroof and electric windows of course as we all have to have a comforts.
I built my first 3 liter 2.7 head 8 valve motor in 2005, I know longer own it but it is still running good with your normal maintenance between track weekends.
My 968 turbo S was built entirely by myself in 2007 no expense spaired, with only a few things done at a machine shop like the headwork, baking a few misc aluminum engine parts, installing new piston pin bushings in a set of rods!
This engine is a monster with over 400 HP and has over 2K miles on it with not a lick of trouble or leaks! Ski actually helped me get ahold of Tom C. who speced out the pistons for me they work great.
