Porsche 952 !?!
Well I never knew this....
Just been doing some further research of our Porsche 951's when I came across an article on www.wikipedia.org
Apparently the 951 was designated this code to represent a Left hand drive 944 Turbo and the right hand drive car as per mine being a UK car was designated the code 952.
This has me very confused – Has anybody heard this before.
Read it for your self here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche...urbo_.28951.29
You have to scroll to the top of the page to read the infomation.

A full list of codes - Even more interesting:
http://members.optusnet.com.au/~dr_scott/9numbers.htm
I was amazed to read that even Audi had there own designated numbers for the 924 which differ from Porsche own.

What is your user name on the PCGB forum. I signed up there last year but have never posted anything as nothing really interesting seams to be talked about on there compared to Rennlist.
I'll go have another look again though as its been some time since I last looked at the forum.
My PCGB user name is the same as here 'future'
Will have to catch up with you guys on track next year when it warms up abit and my car is back on the road.

About Wikipedia,
I am currently a college graduate student and all of my teachers will not except wikipedia as a source in research papers because anyone can go into their database and add or change the info. Not to say it isn't true but, the source is not the best one. It could be that a 952 is a right hand drive version. Just thought it should be known.

Every part that is specific to a Right Hand Drive 944/951/968 begins with a 945.xx.xxx.xx part number.
The 952 has nothing to do with the engine codes or S/nonS model. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the VIN on all RHD 944/951/968 do NOT indicate "952". So really, the 952 only refers to RHD 951 parts.
