Be ready for the barrage of search/questions as this job is totally new to me. New Belts, Tial 38, reseal of most if not all, new clutch, motor mounts etc.

So that I don't totally overload Terry (951and944S), which I know I'll blow up his email address, I'll probably rely on alot of searches and stupid questions from you guys that have done this so many times. Even with the engine out I don't know if I can get the turbo off "in under an hour" LOL. Clark's will probably get a work out too.

Not near as far as one of those 'JAB Racing' rebuilds so I guess it'd be more like a

'Ja' or maybe even as little as a 'J'.....

OMG! My father in law has the same van, same color! He's the one that brought my new engine to me. Talk about deja vu!

Ha Ha.

Bret, had a couple of oil leaks so Terry and I made an evaluation call on pulling the engine and resealing it. Would love to go with some exciting performance mods but then again I kind of like a stock engine for a very little used vehicle. Oil Cooler, Rear Main, Oil Pan etc. etc. etc. seals are going to be replaced. If I can swing it I'll probably have the head looked at also. Adding a Tial 38mm as I suspect the original WG isn't as efficient as it used to be plus Pauerman had a great deal. Motormounts and probably a clutch are in the cards.

Hope to get it as clean as your recently well documented rebuild. It won't be JAB but it'll def. be SER as I may or may not totally screw this job up. As I said stand ready for a barrage of stupid questions BUT only if I cannot find it in the search FIRST.

SR

P.S. Drove the engine 1.5 hours home without a spill on the leather or carpet. Vacummed and 303'd the van interior and she didn't say a word.
