My new custom gauge cluster
Hey guys, I've recently been involved in a new project to set up new gauges on my car. They are all separate gauges, and they are lightweight carbon fiber. It was a HUGE amount of work. The gauges are water temp, oil pressure, speed, and rpms. The gauges down in the console are boost and air fuel. They are all carbon fiber. Let me know what you guys think.

The dash gauges look great! Are you going to make a kit available for sale? I don't like the fact that the radio space is gone. I'd rather have the radio than the cubby. But he dash gauges and a pillar pod would be awesome. Great work!

Well I guess you guys can see the pics.
Well I've been thinking about doing my own custom work on the gauge panel. I'm also removing the stock front and rear seats, installing race seats, roll cage, momo steering wheel, suspension, etc. then I'll go to engine upgrades. I wanted my car to be unique. The wiring is very complicated, expecially the oil pressure. It was a hell of a lot of work. All in all, it took about 3 and a half days, straight through. Only breaks to eat and sleep. The lights are the fuel reserve light, voltage, and shift light which is routed through the RPM gauge. We had to calibrate the speedo, and we had to calibrate the water temp gauge which was a serious pain in the a**. My radio is going to go under my gauges. I like the fact that my gauges are higher, because they are easier to see. I'm going to be purchasing a radio soon. Thanks for the comments guys..

Besides just getting a different look, what's the point? The dash gauges work well and are very easy to read... Just seems like alot of effort for very little benefit unless you're building a show car...

Interesting idea! Very clean install no matter how you look at it so your craftsmanship is to be commended.
Just out of curiousity (this is something I've considered doing myself) have you looked into providing recessed floodlighting of the entire cluster rather than relying exclusively on backlighting? I imagine that would look very nice as an additional touch. . .

As far as the lighting goes, each gauge has it's own lighting, and they are perfectly sufficient. The gauges light very nicely. The recessed floodlighting would be a nice touch, I'm going to look into it. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
Take care,
