Nice looking car and the mileage is believable judging from the overall cleanliness. The stack of paperwork looks encouraging too. However I think it has some paint work done. One photo of the VIN plate shows what looks like paint bridging in a few places in the body moldings. One picture shows no stone guard while the other 3 wheels have them, a sure sign of paintwork.

Assuming it will need timing belt and water pump along, I'm sure it is on the original clutch too. Carfax shows two (yikes) accidents. I had to dig for the Carfax on their site as it was not linked to on Ebay.

Funny I stumbled upon this post, I actually ended up purchasing this one about 2 weeks ago. It actually had 133k miles, the 5 digit odometer has rolled over somewhere between 1997 and 1998 based on the service records. But it only had 2 prior owners and the original owner owned it up until 2012. It does appear to have been repainted and not to show quality standards but it looks good as a driver.

When I was looking at the car I realized knew the owner of the shop where it was worked on for most of it's life and gave him a call and he vouched for it being meticulously maintained over the years which is evident in reading through the binder full of receipts that came with the car. Even got the original window sticker. As far as the carfax, I found some records for the front bumper being repaired at one point ($504 in repairs in 2002) and the shop owner mentioned it in my call with him but he said it was minor.

Also, all of the stone guards are installed but for some reason only one of them is new and clear, the other three are cracked from age.
