They occasionally come up for sale and when they do, they sell for quite a bit of money and usually very quickly.

Yes that is a FOHA lip and it is my car as well! I bought mine from Techno Duck 6-7 years ago when he sold his. Tough to find but they do surface now and then.

Any mileage in obtaining one and starting a small production run for these. They cant be hard to make and would be snapped up quickly.

What about it guys? Similar to the Saratoga re-build!!!

Calling out to those with more skill than me (that's everyone :-))

It's not cost effective. Cheapest option would be fiberglass but they get damaged easily. ABS plastic would withstand damage better but a mold that size would be ~$10k and probably ~$100 in materials and machine time per lip. No idea what it would cost to get molds made for dense foam like the original FOHA lips but I imagine it would be in the same ball park as ABS plastic.

Just to recover initial investment costs, you'd have to sell 30 to 40 of them for $350-$450/shipped. I think you would be hard pressed to find 40 committed buyers who would be willing to wait possibly months for a new splitter but pay up front. Not impossible, just improbable.
