Default New to the Family

As some of you have seen the 951 of my namesake was totaled. I'll spare the details of that, as the wound is still fresh, and you can see the pictures over in the 944/951 forum.

Here's the new lady. An 86 in the fastest color. Interior is pretty and almost perfect (small crack in dash and in seat leather). 140k on the ODO and runs wonderfully. Stock as much as I can tell, but lovingly kept and taken care of.

Hopefully the Mods will be willing to change my handle to CO'86 944 now

Wow, that's nice.

Care to divulge what you got her for?

As I just paid $6400 for an 86 I'm curious how much I overpaid. I think I was $500 over.

I guess asking was around 8. Walked away for 57 if I remember right. I'm not up on my 944 values, this seems like quite a deal for the condition. A few details here and there and she needs timing belt soon otherwise she's sound.

57 is about what she paid for her 87 951... and it had serious issues all over the car. We loved her, then some jackass ruined her. This is well deserved and well earned. I'm lucky enough that I'm a designated care taker when the owner ships out.

Very clean all the way around. Love to see these cars looking like that.
