I had a similar issue last fall, ended up taking the plug caps off and found some white powdery residue. Apparently its water or condensation that was making contact with the plugs.

Either way i just used a rag to clean the ends of the ignition wires and havnt had the starting issue since

You may want to check your alarm unit.

Ok guys and gal, this seems to be going nowhere. We need to start from the beginning. THE BASIS, yes the basis that everyone over looks. Nowhere in this thread did I read anything about spark, fuel, or compression. I just finish checking a 07 Ford Ranger for a no start and took a pix of some of the stuff I used. A fuel injection pressure gauge set, and noid light, spark checker set. With those test equipment and a compression gauge you go from a no start to I have no fuel pressure or I have no spark or I have no injector pulse. Now you can focus WHY you don't have injector pulse or whatever. I also use a timing light to check that the spark is getting there at the right time. See where I'm going with this.
Karen, you 1st need to go back and check the basis and see whats missing from the puzzle. Buy the way, the Ranger has bad injectors.

OK, Karen: next make up the 3 wire jumper that's in the Clark's garage article..use that to check things out a bit better...you can go to one of the parts stores and get all the supplies to make the jumper..I know that AutoZone will rent out the fuel pressure gauge kit and the noid light checker..turn them back in and get all your $$ back.

Am beginning to think my car is missing. Shop has had it for ten days. Have called 4/5 times every day for the last four days, and they always say,"let me check on it and I will call you back."
