Hey Mike,

That is one of the splitters made by TonyG. Fiberglass with a solid balsa wood core. Much stronger than just fiberglass or ABS.

Drove it and bought more parts. 044 fuel pump and Wossner connecting rods.

Now I need to find Wossner 16 valve 3 liter turbo pistons someone wants to sell for a really low price. That and a Garrett GT3582R DBB turbo.

Slowly, slowly it is all coming together.

Whos installed a new aftermarket Cabrio roof. Mine is original still in ok condition but I'd like to make it new.

I dont like the vent in the OEM version it tends to bag out after being down for a while, so I'd really like to get an aftermarket that fits perfect with no vent.

Price is not the concern but perfect fit and quality is.

Ist hand experience would be great..

thanks
mike

I just found out the turbo and turbo mount I want for my build will run about $3000. At least the Wossner pistons are a bargin at just $1000 for the set.

Building up the cash reserves for my parts is going to be the biggest delay to my build.

I've got to turn it into a turbo now. I just spent way too many hours cutting down a gauge pod to fit my A pillar. It was a pod for a regular 951 but the convertible A pillar is much shorter and wider. This is just a test fit. I still need to paint it and both gauge trim rings to better match the existing A pillar trim. I also need to run all the wires for the AFR gauge and power for the boost gauge.

I'm not letting all that work go to waste. It took a lot of time cutting, filing and contouring with a heat gun to make it fit well. It is still not perfect but it is close.

Washed it and started stripping the paint off the euro front bumper I bought.
