news to me, i know cayenne was sand white and now "white" but the "white" code is same as carrera white.. which is a pure white..

has the color code changed in the order forms or just the nomenclature?

Just bought a carrara white '12 997TTS and a "white" '12 cayenne S. The white is a slightly more pure white, but not washer and dryer white like the Audi white. "White" is a great color. I will try to get a pic up of both side by side this weekend.

that would be nice, my sand white doesnt even seem that "yellow", carrara white always seemed pure white to me so it will be interesting to see the difference.

Carrara White is the most misspelled word in the Porsche community.

Carrera is the car. From the Spanish word for "race".

Carrara is the color. From the white marble mined in Carrara, Italy.

Maybe Porsche removed the "Carrara" from the name so their new volume customers wouldn't get the word confused with the script on their decklid.

B4 is the model color, B9A is the paint code for Carrara White.

For White the model is 0Q and the paint code is C9A, same white used on 2012 Cayennes.
