Ok so my lines are ok, but my rack is dripping right from the banjo fittings. Drip drip, when I do slow or dry turns. I'm not losing a huge amount of fluid.

Its a mess down there.

Thoughts?

Did you try snugging up the fittings? Now that your cats are gone no real risk other then the mess.

did you try replacing the crush washers (if they are there) .. Not visually remembering exactly if it has them, but most banjo fittings have 2 copper (or aluminum) crush (one time use) washers. Overly tight and it could crack the banjo or the rack..

I tried tightening them, did not want to force them as they did not move.

I'm doing my MM and OPG soon so I will fix it then.

as posted you need new Banjo sealing washers they are one time use, in the mean time,
put a piece or two of cardboard down so the fluid wont damage your driveway

Not sure its 'unsafe'..other than when you run out steering gets harder.

When they start to leak, my experience is that one day, and you never know when, you will go out to the car and there will be a huge puddle of fluid on the ground. Then you must replace it. I just did mine. I am going to rebuild the rack that came off and start doing that task for the local guys here.

So, a rebuilt rack in in you future sometime down the road. They aren't too bad, I think about 395.00 or so but you can rebuild it yourself it you have confidence. There is one heck of a writeup on it somewhere around here. I would love to find it myself as I am getting ready to rebuild my old one.

Sorry but i just re-read your post. They do have a crush washer on both sides of the banjo fittings. I just replaced mine. Get enough to do them all. It just might completely solve your problem.

Fingers crossed, The rack comes off pretty easily but mine was one heck of a bitc&(*& getting back on.
