JB weld it save your money for other parts.

use some 400 grit paper on the tube and insert,
clean it with acetone,
then JBweld it,
I guarantee it will never come apart

Give it a Feynman test. Bond a blob of JB weld to aluminum drop it in a cup of boiling water, then pull it out and poke it with a screwdriver while it is hot. I suspect you will elect not to use JB weld in this application.

never thought a water outlet would be a part of a Feynman discussion.

Is he one of Sheldons friends on BBT?

Same piece came apart on my S4; JB welded back together, refitted and has been that way for many years and thousands of kms

Porsche does have a reputation for using 'glued' parts......ask the Cayenne group

Note, all further work done to the engine and accessories on the Red Witch will be documented in this thread:

Good grief, never thought I'd have to worry about nipple migration! Can you tell by model year which kind you have?

Just went through this earlier this summer, dam thing came apart and sprayed G-05 coolant all down the back of my SC engine, bell and headers, what a mess to clean that stuff off.

Thought about gluing it but not wanting to chance another future failure as the newer part is less than 40 bucks!

If you really want to save the old ones then get it welded like the 911 guys do.

Just my 928 cents

Thought about that Han's but would they be less $ than the newer ones?

They are not NLA as far as I know, and although Billet would be great looking and a cool solution, you can't see them when installed.

I didn't read all the suggestions, but here's my advice. I've been a certified welder for over 50 years. Plus I teach at the local Jr. collage.

A quick solution, and one that will work, Tap the water bridge with a suitable pipe tap, and use a pipe nipple to hose fitting. Use some expando, pipe joint compound, amd believe me it'll never come apart. Outlast the engine and the car.

Would be beautiful, but like you said Dave, you can't see it, so it's not worth it.
