Default S4 Brake pads for street use

Good morning!

Looking for recommended brake pads for my OBs ('78 and '79) following S4 caliper upgrades. No track use. Just street. Looking for quiet, minimal brake dust, and of course, good braking performance.

Thanks to any and all advice,
Hoi

I've found the stock S4 pads are best for the street with more than enough stopping power.

Aftermarket pads tend to make the wheels dirty quick while not improving street performance over the stock pads.

I used the stock and they are fantastic for street use.

I have the Hawk pads from Roger and they work well. 928 brakes are said to be noisy but so far these have been very quiet.

Much lower dust with the Hawk pads, but prone to squealing.

I've got a new set that still squeal on the front left, despite numerous bedding in procedures.

I'm running Centric Posi-Quiet Ceramic pads on two of my cars. I haven't washed the wheels in 2 weeks. I am putting the same pads on my 928. Never had any complaints about them, ever. Be sure to use anti-squeal paste on the back of the pad. They have a knack for squealing on a cold morning.
