2017 caravan to SITM - ON/NY/PA/VA

Default 2017 caravan to SITM - ON/NY/PA/VA

Only 4 months away. Same route as last year. Hopefully no rain on 33 this time.

-Departing Stoney Creek, Ontario Canada 5:30am. on Thursday June 1st.

-7:30 am NY, Angola service centre.

-11:00 am, Pittsburgh PA.

-Driving down 79, and across 33 over the mountains down into Harrisonburg then over to Waynesboro VA.

-5:00 pm, Waynesboror VA.

Spending the night at the Best Western in Waynesboro:
109 Apple Tree Ln, Waynesboro, VA 22980, United States
1 540-942-1100

-Dinner Thursday night at Outback 7pm

-Then on Friday we will do the BRP re-grouping at MM1 at 7 a.m. Lunch likely at Fancy Gap.

Bring your FRS radio. Channel 928.

I'm in. It's a really long day but well worth the drive. Hopefully my steering wheel doesn't lock up this time.

What's the route from VA?. I'm kind of partial to the run east from Alcoa along the Cherohala Skyway. Crash in Alcoa the Thursday night and run east Friday to Banner Elk through the mountains. If you leave TO early enough, there's time to get a couple passes in on the Tail of the Dragon too......

Thursday is crazy twisty day.



Friday we run the Blue Ridge Parkway, lunch at Fancy Gap.
