I believe Red Tek is essentially butane. A close friend of mine owns one of the top bar/restaurant refrigerated equipment manufacturing facilities in the country and he says that they are phasing out 134A just like R12. The environmentalists are demanding all refrigerants used in food service (and anything else) be changed by 2020 (or so) and he is VERY concerned about the explosive and flammability issues that will come with the new standards. I would be hesitant to be an beta-tester and end up with my 928 looking like a campfire marshmallow and me being the stick.

If that is the case ( i'll still read up on Red Tek ) than maybe the 152A would still be an option. But I am sure the R134 will stick around as long as the R12 has.
Lots of options. Maybe even Propane ( I have not looked into this ) for some.
When it comes down to it, I'll just have to take the windows down.
