Default Norcal Extended GTG: February 25-26, and a special guest!

Ok Folks..Mark and I are planning for the color correction clinic by OCDetailers, our own Andy Kay, form DFW to come out here and provide his services.

We have -6- guaranteed slots available, on Saturday/Sunday February 25th and 26th. There MAY be a 7th slot depending on demand.
There is also a limited availability Monday slots at this time too. The Friday late afternoon/evening slot is taken.

This will be at Mark's house in San Jose.

The cost will be $350, normal cost is a straight $400, and this will be a life changing procedure for the finish of your car. We are asking also for a $50 tip-jar donation that will go towards travel expenses (Andy's flight fro DFW), the Norcal BBQ, Marks water/materials use, and the coffee Mark brings to the 3-4 other events we do thru the year.

You will have to wash it _really good_ before your slot, and at Mark's house before your correction job, we (you and me) will go over the car with a clay mitt, as a final prep before it goes under Andy's hands. Wash it -good-.

928's only at this point. Not your neighbor's killer Taurus, this is a club event, we can let open slots go to other cars if we need to. But our focus is on Norcal 928s.

I have asked Andy to join the Norcal928 group, so he can be part of the thread and do Q&A. He is there, if you are in Norcal please join us:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/400240050086850/

If your car may be for sale in the next 1-2yrs, you need this. If you DD the car, you -really- need this.

Come by, hang out, maybe get some issues looked at, or work on a few with us.

PM me for scheduling.

Andy does absolutely stunning work and you will be blown away by the difference he makes. He does all my cars and most of the group's cars here in the DFW area. You will not be disappointed.

You guys are in for a treat! I've seen Andy's work many times over the years on both his 911 and 928, the latter of which is his daily driver - though you'd never know it based on how stunning it always looks. He can really wake up Guards Red and make it almost glow, along with making darker colors like Black look incredibly deep. I'm confident you'll be pleased with his results.

Hey Andy, how about a trip to Oklahoma sometime? It's much closer!

Speaking of Guard's Red: this is a picture of the Stepson's fender that Andy worked. Andy made a believer of me.

Thanks for your nice comments and the invitation to Northern California. I'm excited about this trip, bought a duffle bag to accommodate my two Griot's BOSS Detailing bags and placed aGriot's order for reinforcements!

A little about me ... I've been detailing with Griot's products for 15 years, a PCA member competing in Concours since 2007 and a 928 owner for 6 years. I'm the PCA Concours Chair for the Maverick Region (Dallas) and a Master Judge for the Lone Star Region (Houston). I put on Detailing Tech Session for numerous car clubs and events. OCIC, Boxstoberfest and Porsche Palooza are just a few that come to mind.

Pictures and videos of my work can be seen on my Facebook page. Thanks again for the invite, my name is Andy Kay and I am The Obsessive Car Detailer! Y'all have a Merry Christmas.

Wanted to also chime in and urge anyone on the fence to take advantage of the opportunity.

Andy does a GREAT job!!

He's the only one I'll let touch my cars. Whether your paint needs reviving, or it looks pretty good and you want it to be "Stunning", Andy works wonders..

Paint looked pretty good on the GTS, but I had 3 big scratches on the fender that I thought were down through the color. After Andy worked his majic, POOF, they were gone!! The entire car looked like wet glass, amazing!!

Well worth the investment!!

Please post pics here after the event!

Looks great, price is right too. Need to tackle the cam tower leak in my 78 before then..I should be good, but I don't want to lock down a spot if I can't make it. How many slots are left open at the moment?
