That's a pretty impressive process.

Has anyone invented a plasti-dip kind of recovering approach to vinyl dashboards and trim yet? Based on how I've seen wheels and body panels come out, I would think dashboards and trim would be a natural fit for the process.

I'm in the process of re covering a dash that I will install in my '80. I found a donor dash ( it was brown vinyl ) and I am going to cover it in black vinyl. I bought a kit from Rob Budd. He provides detailed instructions which are easy to follow. More to come.

This looks amazing!

Hard to imagine this could be done without the stitches, though - unless you give-up on covering the sides of the dash.

But if the material is elastic enough, perhaps the stitches could be hidden on the sides of the dash.

I Plasti-dipped my dash and pod. They look good from 10 feet.

Okay, 15...

I don't know if its still the case, but a few years back when I looked into Just Dash the issue was you got what you got with no recourse, and some were happy, some were not.

The other thing I wonder about is long any fix is going to last exposed to Calif sun, even just from time to time.
