Default surprise inside my ECU....

Hi,
Yesterday removed the cover of my '92 GTS LH ecu, in order to check if PO swapped hybrid circuit or not. Removing cover(someone did it before for sure) this little piece of glossy paper came out. well I think it was inside as I did not noticed that outside.

never seen before inside an ecu....it is not a sticker , no glue residues on the paper nor inside components.itis a 1/2 inch x 2,5 inches .

First numbers are ecu part number . the rest is quite a puzzle, and my nose was bleeding before starting to deciphrate it.

have you ever seen something like this?
Thank you ,

Francesco from Italy

PS: another missing link to my GTS past history.

that is off a Dymo labeler. You could peel the back off and stick it on something?

Really similar, but not dymo label. Nothing to peel off,no evidence of adhesive on the back, no evidence on ICs or eprom.maybe adhesive went away and there's only the label.....

I forgot that ps in germany means horsepower. Went on the dyno twice 2 years ago, first time i got 321 bhp, after a lot of new spare parts my GTS reached 344bhp, dyno tester told me that catalysts were a bit clogged(due to Commonwealth GTS oil consumption maybe ), but the rest was fine. Why 356bhp rating? I thought that gepr means gepruft =tested. The rest is not crear to me. Anyway my car is running with is hybrid circuit, and everything seems stock....

Could be. But inside nothing seems rebuilt... If 356ps means 356 bhp.... Well, someone was quite an optimistic.

Well, given the claims of some aftermarket chip sellers, 356 bhp may have been conservative in comparison.

Not that it makes much difference, but 356PS (DIN) is only 351HP (SAE).
