I realize posting this stupid question might cause my 928 Ownership Card to be revoked, but I'll ask anyways:

- Currently have both my rear tail lights off the car. In the process of restoring the abortion of crimped wires and dry electrical tape from the harnesses, but in doing so I realized I don't know which light is for which function (tail light, brake light, turn light, reverse light).

I know the clear one is the Reverse light, but don't recall which the others are nor could I find anything which calls them out.

Yes...stupid question. I know. Be gentle.

Reverse, stop, tail, turn signal (inside to outside). Matches the right side tail light assy you have pictured.

It's shown in the wiring diagrams. I had to check to be sure.

And I got a quote from a friend a while back:

And I too looked at the Wiring Diagram, but wasn't sure if aligned to the compartments in the TL.



Regarding the quote - my questions, stupid or otherwise, are to remove my ignorance, so thanks for helping to partially move the needle on that

Not surprisingly, the schematics for my 85 are considerably different.

It's a lot clearer where each light is.
