For those in Houston, I plan to take the car to the Lone Star PCA GTG Saturday morning. It is just east of the Starbucks at 8420 Katy Freeway Suite 500, Spring Valley, TX 77055 (between Wirt and Bingle/Voss, north side of I-10). Time is from 8:30 am to 10:00 am.

Great looking car! If you happen to drive over to the Beaumont area, hit me up.

I four stepped the paint with clay bar, 3M Machine Polish, 3M Glaze and 3M wax. All by hand, about eight hours. Single stage paint has its advantages. Some pics:

Superb 87, any interior, engine bay shot. What is the Vin # and list of options? Can't wait to see it in person!

Some pics from the PCA GTG this morning. I met Keith Coe and saw his 1988 S4.

Very nice, the 928 is a 3 dimensional sports car that can satisfy any mood the driver is in. My first Porsche was an 1986 Targa. I acquired it while stationed at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii in 1988. Great car, but I was never really able to realize its real potential, as the island road system could not accommodate the need for speed and space.
Still, with the top stowed, the sights and sounds were intoxicating..

Neat 928, too bad I missed the GTG off the Katy fwy. I'm travel throughout Harris County (recruiting dentists during the week.) If you ever need a spare set of hands, for say a TB party, I am not able to offer much in the technical aspect of R/R, but can bring pizza and beverages.

I'll be picking up another 928 shortly....

I got the car back from having the fuel lines checked and replaced.

First task was the ground strap. The old one was oxidized at the connections.

I took out the Kenwood head unit as I wanted a deck with a SD card and hands free cellular. I bought a Pioneer DEH PRS-80. It has 24 bit Burr Brown DAC's and auto equalization and time delay. I soldered, taped and heat shrink wrapped all the connections. To try to make it to look a touch more stock, I bought a ~$8.00 fader **** from an early car. To get it to fit, I had to mill away part of the bottom with 100 grit sandpaper.

Two benefits of a 25 year old or more car in Texas. No emissions testing and free Classic Auto plates.
