that would have to be a really compact dry sump engine

it's a corvette mated with a viper. Zero shark DNA in that monstrosity.

Spot on Nate. Also stated by Road and Track in an excellent article they had a few months back comparing the modern 911 (I forget which variant) with the above MB. Said the MB was the car Porsche used to build - the 928. I have seen a couple of these cars up close and personal, and they are gorgeous. I somehow don't think they'll ever depreciate to a point like sharks have though.

I actually like the render, but it doesn't have much if any 928 in it.
I do love that MB. Change the front and a few styling queues, put a Porsche badge on it and call it done!
(That said I haven't driven one, so I have no idea if it feels anything like a Porsche should feel to drive)

I don't know - I think the doors have a basic 928 shape about them (ignoring the huge scoop) and the B pillars + rear quarter windows are 928 like too.
Plenty of room under the hood as long as you can make a nice flat engine... dry sump? - boxer 8? all electric?
Looks like very little room in the back seats - just like a 928! (or maybe more likely no back seats).
Anyway its just an artist's idea - I quite like it - I wonder what the back end looks like? did that get rendered too?
