Bolt sizes for FPR and damper bracket on 86.5
During my top end refresh I have found a number of pecker tracks, especially in the vicinity of of the ISV (which had been replaced with a BMW "equivalent"), including wrong fasteners, mis-routed vacuum lines, and incorrect fastener sizes, among other things. One perplexing problem is that I have not been able to find the fastener sizes for the bracket that holds the FPR and fuel damper (and the CPS connector) in PET, nor even the bracket itself. What I need are the lengths of the four bolts that attach this bracket to the block. The critical one is the bolt that goes through to the water jacket, but I would like them all. As noted in the thread title this is for an 86.5. And if you have any documentation or a PET reference that would be really helpful (if somewhat humiliating, since I couldn't find anything). TIA!

Martin,
I still have 85 platinum car which is being disassembled for parts. Let me check sometime this week if that bracket is still installed, I think it is. That engine has some sort of cam chain incident, probably a derailment. I have two 86 cars and intend to keep most of the parts.
Weather and illness early in the year kept me from doing anything with it in terms of boxing up the parts. Weve now got it setup in the outsude garage for disassembly.
(Coincindentally, DaveK9 has the lsd auto from the car)

Dave- it is a US 32V.
Chris, that would be great. My worry is that at least one incorrect bolt has been installed, and there is a bolt on each side of the bracket that goes through the casting into the waterjacket (what were they thinking??). I regard the lengths of these bolts as more critical than most, maybe just being overcautious. Thanks!
