I took the injectors out also.
These are cylinders 1-4 but cylinders 5-8 were in the same condition.

The rubber seals on the injectors were shot, of course.
I've read CIS Flowtech will clean and refurbish fuel distributors, WURS (which I haven't even pulled off yet) and injectors. I think this is the route I need.

Any opinions about shops to send these parts off to?

Intake valves. There are only six because I couldn't angle my phone good enough for the other two. Pretty much how the top of the pistons also looked with the borescope.

I also got the new clutch master installed.
Although it was a chore I would agree with Guy that it wasn't as bad as I read it would be. Since I didn't want to cut a hole underneath the fender I just used some interesting body contortions to feel around under the booster and to reach under the dash until I finally had it bolted in.

Those contortions may all be for naught though as the more parts I take off the top off the engine make me feel like I should just pull the engine out....

Welcome to the tank. I can't imagine how the air plate bump stop bar mounting point got broken. It's under the air cleaner box and you'd have to hit it hard to break it. I hope the engine didn't eat the missing chip. Are those scratches on the valve stems in pic #2&5?? Hope it's just an 'artifact' from the bore scope.

Thanks!
Yeah I really can't imagine what someone did to break that bar because as you stated you'd have to hit it hard to break it and I don't know why it would have ever needed to be hit.
Those are just artifacts from the camera on the intake valves.

Plug your intake holes with rags so you don't foul them with junk.

Injectors can be ordered on ebay or from Roger. Cleaning CIS injectors is not usually indicated.
