Default Parts Car on Craiglist-Chicago Area

At risk of someone scooping me on this, anyone want to go in on this? I'm in Milwaukee but getting it up here would be a lot of trouble. I'm interested in the wheels, passenger side mirror, front spoiler, rub strips (if on it), passenger taillight, passenger front turn lens and driving light lens, spare tire cover, and dash (maybe). Let me know.

bump/test (since my account has been problematic and this thread posted 30 hours late).

It is a Euro S though. It would make a great parts car with some nice engine bits

Check the engine and trans code before dropping coin. Make sure you're getting what you think you're getting. Lotta Euro engines have been transplanted.

I'll call the guy this weekend and see what I can find out. It'd be a big hassle to get it to Milwaukee and I'm sure my wife would be thrilled. It seems to have been sitting for sale for a while so I'm guessing there's some room on price.

Well, it's a Euro (turn signals in fenders), but I don't know if it's an "S" or not.

Engine for an "S" would be an M28/11 or 12. That would be the 300hp 4.7 CIS (K-jet) motor.

But, again, no keys & no title would make me run away. Far away. I would want some definitive proof that it belongs to the seller. You can't even scrap a car at a junkyard these days without a title.

Default 1984 as a parts car for a 1982

I found another option closer to home in a 1984 model. My question to the group is, aside from the differences in the 32 valve engine and the 16 valve engine, are there other model updates that would make a 1984 928S a bad match for a 1982 base (with sport package)?

Thank you.

84 models were all 16v from the factory. Most everything from an 84 will fit an 82 including engine. Use the engine harness from your 82, unless the 84 is a Euro. If it's a Euro model (310 HP), it will have a MAF and a CPS which the 82 won't have.
