Default indicator flashing too fast

Car is in getting MOTd right now. They just phoned to say one of the indicators is flashing too fast. However it works ok when the hazard light is on.

Any ideas? Fuse, relay or something?

Could really do with a quick fix.

My guess is that one of the bulbs on that side is not making good contact, try twisting each of the bulbs on the bad side with the indicator on.

Think you are right. Just down at the MOT shop now and checked them and they are working fine. The guy is just going to finish up the car he's doing and take another look. If he passes it I'll go back to my garage and give all the bulbs a check.

Thankfully. I'm away traveling around Scotland tomorrow for a few weeks on a driving holiday so I would have been screwed. This mot has been a mission. Fuel leak, high pressure PS hose failure, rear discs and steering rack mounts.

Was that all?

That sounds more like the weekly dose of grief rather than the annual one- those are just "flesh wounds" to quote Monty Python.

Enjoy your trip
