OK well, I am not normally one to plug products, but I think for $40 this stuff is worth it:

The first two pics show my original rear quarter trim pieces, which as usual look like grayish white trash.

The third pic shows the appearance of the other side following application of the "cleaner" product in the kit. It is some kind of denatured alcohol solution. This actually does most of the work, from what I can tell. You have to buff it up afterward with detailing spray etc. but it comes up pretty nice and my paper towel is covered in black crap.

The fourth pic shows the appearance of the trim following application of the deoxidizer. This is the final form - ready for action. So much better than the original, I'm stunned. None of those typical "back to black" products did anything, so this is an amazing change.

Here's what it did to my door window trim. The first pic shows the original condition - all grayish and mottled, pretty shabby. The second pic shows the appearance following the cleaning compound application. The third pic shows the final appearance after the complete deoxidizing.

Fourth pic shows the black crap on the paper applicators and towels. Seems to be doing something!

This is the first product I have come across that does anything to help the appearance of these black anodized aluminum trim pieces.

The 928S4 window/s ( alloy trims ) are powdered coated black( painted ) , it was the very early 928 & similar early 911 2.7 & very early 911SC had the window trims black anodized

Oh really? I hadn't heard that before. Well, this stuff is doing pretty good on the flat black paint but I suppose a traditional rubbing compound could have done as well.

Most "damage" to that trim is hard water deposits and such. A little bit of a cleaner-wax is often all that's needed to bring them back to original luster. Rubbing compound may be a bit too aggressive, plus it glosses them up beyond the original satin sheen. Of course, cleaner-wax offers a chance to leave a wax film on the rubber part and in all the grooves and details in the assembly, so I end up back in there with a soft toothbrush and Back to Black to restore the rubber's appearance.

Well, my black trim was gray and heavily oxidized, especially the quarter glass trim. I got some car polish on it last time I did the paint and all it did was leave a whitish streak like it does on the rubber, so I was not hopeful that actually using it on the black trim would accomplish anything. This deoxidizing kit is the first thing I've tried that has made any dent in the heavy oxide, it is actually half decent now.
