If the last 4 digits of the VIN are below 1000 it's an 86.0, that is a certainty.

Correct - the vin is the answer. If you don't have a vin, look for different jack points - front points protrude lower. Also, bigger brakes - S4 calipers.

A very nice example of the 928GT in Grand Prix White and black interior. In very good condition inside and out along with motor and transmission. 5 speed manual. Matching numbers. Paint near perfect condition with no dents, scratches, dings or chips.

I am the 4th owner. The car is currently located in Charleston, SC. Mileage is 160k. Car has been extremely well cared for by each owner and have maintenance records from the original owner. Car drives and shows like new.

First owner was In California, where Niello Porsche did all service and repair…. Extensive records from them up to 120k miles…. None of this work is internal motor work. Clutch at 120k. Steering Rack, Fuel Pumps and Filter at 103k. LH Control Unit was replaced at 65k. Many other service records available.

Second owner was in Arizona and had service done at Redline Motorsports…. They did IAC Valve, MAF Sensor, Knock Sensors, Temp 2 Sensor, Radiator, etc, at 122k, along with Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs.

Third owner continued with a thorough maintenance approach replacing for example: brake master cylinder, installed short shifter, Installed Fuel Pressure Gauge, Silverstar Headlights, Solid Motor Mounts, clutch slave cylinder, etc.

Within last 500 miles replaced the battery, distributor caps and rotors, timing belt, water pump and updated Porken tensioner was done by European Road and Racing in North Charleston, SC.

Compression Test @ 150k: 1-176, 2-175, 3-177, 4-175, 5-178, 6-180, 7-175, 8-176

Car comes with 2 sets of wheels, original 16' wheels plus a set 18" gloss black powder coated new finish factory wheels 18X8 FRONTS 18X9 REARS (ET 59 FRONTS / ET 53 REARS ). Tires on both sets of wheels are like new with under 1,000 miles.

I don't think its strikes many people's fancy as it is not presented well there, it is not described well for its unique features, and its an auto.

I honestly really wish people would pic cars for that site more carefully. I am biased of course, and I feel its a really great venue for unique, well presented cars.

That 928 is a craigslist car.

Yeah, I don't know. I've seen quite a few cars that could be considered "Craigslist Cars" there and this one seems many notches above those. I don't think the auto will effect the interest much. I think it being a red 928 that wasn't yours is what really hurts it. Honestly your car was so well presented, that being a different color to differentiate it would have helped. Regardless, I expect this one to go in the high teens.
