Good for Hoi on that white one. Seems like the BaT prices are dialing in according to mileage. Hoi's with 89K fetched $20K. The zany 87 batmobile got $18K for its 101K miles. My 88 with 156+ K miles got $13K.

According to the three sales above, that equates to approx. $ 1,000 in depreciation for every 10,000 miles T

Dennis - get an orbital buffer on that hood first, before posting. Got to get rid of the swirls. That car will do very well!

Awesome result Hoi! Makes all the difference in the world how you present on that site too. That 78 that recently sold could have gotten more had the seller's wife not jumped in.

Very nice color combo 86.5 on BaT. And it's No Reserve.

You laugh, but these three sales were also well-presented by honest owners. The red 87 that was sloppily repainted by a flipper died at $16,500 even though 68K miles. I guess the whole Maaco thing combined with unknown service history was a deal-breaker for 928 people. We've learned that "fresh paint!" is not a great sales pitch.

Hi Nate - I think I am a little OCD when it comes to searching for nice 928s plus I meet some of the most interesting owners/sellers. I stalked the owner of the red 89 for 6 months until he was ready to sell at the right price and it turned out to be way better than expected. I also stumbled across a great 82 Euro spec 5 speed I just picked up in Salt Lake - what a hoot to drive (this is the car for you - it cant be easily registered in CA). My problem is that I fall in love with all of them and I have a hard time letting them go ... Im sitting on 6 right now, not counting a donor or the silver & pascha OB I swooped.

You need to stop by on your next trip to the Bay Area!

You didn't have any luck getting the Euro registered?

Hi Kevin - I havent started the process in CA (requires going to a referee) ... I will just drive the Euro using my dealer plate while I bring the services up to date.

Not a bad price for such a unique color. The only other Marble Grey I've ever heard of Lou mentioned was in the Charlotte area. T

There was another marble grey 928 (85) with burgundy here in the PacNW...Ed (F451) owned it for a while. No doubt a unique color. Here's his for sale ad from back in 07...

BTW..this 86 has sport seats...(nice) and I'm guessing it'll have a LSD too...
