They thought that about 911's also, and a 928 is a more robust (although more complex also) vehicle.

If this were near me I'd pay full price for it. It's a 79. Have any of you guys that are dissing this car ever had to buy a WUR core? Or tranny parts? Or a serviceable CV? How about a relay panel or a headlight relay? Or a rear muffler? Or a fuel tank cradle? Or a couple of hard fuel lines from under the car because someone put a jack under your's? Have any of you tried to complete a correct early tool kit? Or needed the correct filter/accumulator fittings/brackets because yours got hacked? Or tried to find a steel spare? Or the correct hirshmann? This is assuming all the typical stuff is long gone like the owners books, spare cover, steel jack, or compressor..and sometimes they're not.

Buellton? You could still go and get a cup of split pea soup even if you don't buy the car!

Right on the money Andrew. Parts are not getting easier to find or any cheaper. Over past 6 months or so things have really gotten tight on 78-79 cars and parts. And fewer even are getting parted. Room and time are all that I need more of (and a healthy back!).

If folks here agree with me, does that mean I'm not nuts?

Hey, I think it may be Kermit colored under the red. At least the passenger door.

Look under the console where there is a hole in the carpet. Might be Kermit colored chassis too.

meaning green color ? But would the interior match green ? Most of the green cars I have seen had green interior also.

I like it....#30 was in worse shape, and I got her running in just a few months....she's a long way from done, but well worth the effort. I paid $650 . This would be a great catch at 1/2 the price...if I was still living in LA, I might jump on it, for parts if anything else...

Pea soup? Is that car near Split Pea Andersons? Loved that place as a kid...we used to camp next door to it...
