Sorry, Josh. I'm trading the Borla exhaust for a lake house in NY. Now, if you can beat that...we can talk...lol.

No, Alex had asked me about it weeks ago and we have some trading in mind.

Boy I like that - stainless and it looks like they kept original tip/shield configuration. Any idea if that is a custom or if it can one be ordered 'off the shelf"?

They usually can make exact copies even if originally it was custom setup. They have also made stainless front silencer for another '78 which had rest of the system as stock. So it might be possible to have them combine two and get less noisy stock like version in full stainless. Their quality and value for $$$ is usually excellent for being one off type setup.

Weird that it has 15 inch rims (like automatics had), script inserts on seats and the black exterior locks. Other than that, looks pretty nice. If you like red and all.

Thank you, for sharing...great link.

After it's first bath in 15 years.

some clutch pics

original floor tarp and I think coveralls and gloves for oil change etc. I don't want to open it to find out because it is sealed.

Those and few other things are obviously wrong. Especially for early '78.

My #403 5 spd also has 15" phone dials. H4's too. Not sure if the H4's are dealer added or the POs.

Thanks, I have had it about a year. had 36000 miles on it. the only thing not genuine Porsche on it is the paint it was repainted in 1992. no cracks or cuts in the dash or interior. there is a thread here with some pics of it the day i got it.

I wrote an article for Flussig about a drive in my '79: http://www.flussigmagazine.com/11/po...the-woods.html

I don't have the car any more. It got caught in the Susquehanna River flooding in 2011 and I gave it to Steve (a fellow Rennlister) to get it out of the garage for the cleanup. So far as I know, he still has it and he had it running at one point.

Brian - on second thought, they might not be metal flake, but high gloss. They are most definitely not flat. I will look at them in the sun and confirm.
