Default Jager 9 Engineering Kick Down Switch

I posted this question in my "JBRob007 Back in Black Literally" thread, but thought a new thread for just this issue might yield better results.

We spent this evening installing a Jager 9 Engineering kick-down switch on my 84 Euro. The switch is installed under the button / reach rod on the shift handle. Wires are run from there over to the CE Panel for power, ground, and relay with two flat blades (# 1 and # 2) connected into TWO of the connectors / pins (A-5 and K-1) at the bottom of the CE Panel. Of course, we ran into a snag...

The directions call for:
Kick down connector # 1 (blade) plug into Connector A / Pin 5 (Black wire).
Kick down connector # 2 (blade) plug into connector K / Pin 1 (Grey/Brown wire).
The illustration shows CE Panel connectors with two columns of 5 pins on each side (10 pins total for 2 columns - L & R).
The 84 Euro CE Panel Connectors are only 4 pins high per column (8 pins total for 2 columns - L & R).

So, I'm assuming Connector A / Pins 1 - 4 (left column) and Pins 5 - 8 (right column) - Is this correct? Not sure if the pins are numbered starting at the bottom or the top of each column??

Connector K / Pin 1 should have a Grey/Brown wire (per the instructions). The problem is there isn't a Grey/Brown wire on ANY of the Connector K pins. Confused yet? So are we...

Mike has installed the kick down switch in two 86.5 cars and one S4 so were not totally lost, but the 84 has a slightly different CE Panel and it's left us guessing

I'm going to write Jager 9 Engineering for an explanation / assistance, but in the meantime does anyone know which Connector / Pin the stock kick down switch (under the gas pedal) is wired to (probably via a relay)? Or, better yet... Do you know which connectors/pins these two blades (# 1 and # 2) should be plugged into in an 84?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Joel

A-5 is bottom left of the first Yellow connector
K-1 is bottom right of the BLACK connector

if you pull out the connector the letter is raised on the white plastic at the bottom (out of lettering sequence, its to the left of what you "think" would be K"

Ya know.... I spent ALL THAT TIME writing this very detailed post... Tirelessly making sure I had all my ducks in a row and you reply in about two seconds... Next time I'm just gonna call...

Thanks again!

Are there any good instructions/pics for installing the switch on the shift handle ? And, why the need to run relays and the the CE panel - can't you just run parallel wires from the floor switch ?
