got the timing belt on and the engine in the car just about 60 % done hooking things up, still waiting for a few parts for the fuel tank and exhaust system,
Intake goes on tomorrow.

The cam keyway pictures still look lousy,
too late now I used Loctite 660 to secure the cam pulleys so they wont come off unless some heating is used.
The new Volvo MMs have the engine sitting pretty

Cleaned up nicely. Everything just seems right in the world when an engine bay looks nice and tidy. Yes, when you hear it run...that also helps.

What's up with the interior?

yes the Nivea cream from Germany,
it does appear to be softening the leather and letting it relax,
how much thats still up for debate.

My hope is to save the leather and reglue it but that idea may get scuttled along with the leather

got the engine installed and the ancillary systems installed,
the engine made smoke today and I got to draining the transmission.
So a few more things to chase down then she is coming off the lift.
Went for a little bit of a goose chase with the aftermarket federalization box its funny but all is does is rerout wires and mess things up.

What's the green buzzer for?

Did you go with the original injectors or upgrade?

Looking good, regardless.

no idea about the green buzzer, but its coming out.
I sent off the injectors from my 85 Euro 5 speed to Withchunter.

So truth be told I have been collecting parts to do this job for about 5 months,
so having most of the parts on hand was helpful.

Just hang on to it, in case you ever find yourself replacing a low air buzzer on a 1997/2003 FL70 Freightliner. You'll be golden.

John, I dont know who what or where about the headers they were on the car when I got it.
Maybe you recognize them?
this is the first set of headers I have had on any of my 928s,
now looking for hi flow cats,
to get it past the visual emission test.
But it still needs a road test.

Oh I forgot to acknowledge all of the kind remarks.
Thanks to you all .
