Default Amelia Island Concours March 12 - who's going?

Anyone else going?

I'm flying down on Fri AM in time to check out the RM Auction preview, departing Sun evening after the Concours.

I plan on going down, leaving Charlotte Thursday early afternoon, staying to Sunday night, maybe some of the Carolina folks could meet along the way, and could convoy down?

I've been to Pebble Beach several times and 8 straight years of the Monterey Historics. Amelia Island is one that I want to attend some time soon. That... and Goodwood :-)

Pictures are always appreciated!

There's a beautiful 24K mile Silver Metallic/Light Grey 94GTS 5sp being sold at the Bonhams Amelia Island Auction on March 10. Scroll to page 134 of the document (page 132 of the brochure itself) http://images1.bonhams.com/original?...-23133-0-1.pdf Nicely presented except for the inaccurate description that it's massive V8 produces 500 ft/lbs of torque. We wish!!!

Per the vin, it's actually a '95 5-speed.

I'll be there, this is a worthwhile trip. As a side note CNN reported last month that 3 Seinfeld porsches will be at Gooding, now the number is reported to be 16.

Looking forward to seeing you again Tony!

For anyone else that is making their way to the car show, I'm extending an open invitation for anyone who wants to stop by, and will have some refreshments stocked for those so inclined. Just PM me for directions. The "big day" is Sunday March 13th, and most people end up parking at the Fernandina Beach airport and then taking the trolley to the show. The traffic gets pretty crazy on that day so if anyone needs a place to park their car, and share a ride, my place is available.

A dinner get-together with other 928 folks would be great fun, let's make it happen!

Cheers!
Carl

Good catch. I corrected my post but others had copied it before my edit.

Here's another link: http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/23133/lot/150/

I would note, the seats appear to have been recovered (French seams instead of the factory piping) and a leather covering appears to have been added to the dash, pod, center console, door panels and armrests. Compare the current pictures to when it was previously marketed by Willhoit, both sets of pictures here in the 928 Registry: http://928oc.org/registry-main/regis...8-gts-u-s-0003
